Security and data

What leaves your computer, and what does not.

Most of Dekvia runs inside PowerPoint on your machine. This page lists exactly what goes to our servers and to the AI, so your IT and your clients can decide with the facts.

Keep my data private

Three positions. You choose, or your company does.

The switch Keep my data private in the pane decides what the AI receives when it fills a slide. A curator can make a position the rule for the whole company: then it is on for everyone, and the pane says it is required by your company.

PositionWhat the AI seesWhat it never sees
OffYour request and the current texts and numbers of the slide, up to 20 rows, so it can propose new ones. The notes, the file name, the content of other slides (in a deck, only their titles).
Structure onlyYour request, the column headers, the number of rows and the number formats. The values. The figures in the title, like the leader or the total, are placeholders that Dekvia calculates on your side.
MaskedCodes and proportions: row names become {r1}, {r2}…, numbers become shares of the largest one.Your names and your figures. Dekvia puts the real names back on your side.
What the AI sawMasked · a bar chart of revenue by country · the text that was sent, an excerpt

On the slideSwitzerland leads with significant margin

The AI had codes and proportions only. The name of the leader was put back by Dekvia, on your side. From a test run on 1 November 2026.

The proof, after every fill

With Structure only or Masked, the pane shows «What the AI saw» under the status line: the exact text that was sent, byte for byte, with a Copy button. The eye next to Fill with AI shows the same preview before you spend a call.

Dekvia uses the OpenAI API; see OpenAI's API data usage policy.
